In the eye of storm…

…After a summer of, what felt like, lots of heat and very little rain. It’s odd to have it rain for a few consecutive days in a row without any glimpse of sunshine.
This photo was taken in Central Park during a break in a passing storm.

The Philharmonic play in Central Park 2010…

One of my all time favorite outdoor events in NYC during the summer is when the Philharmonic sets up their Orchestra in Central Park and play to an audience of cheese eating and wine drinking New Yorkers for FREE on the Great Lawn! Last night’s performance did not disappoint and thankfully the rain held off long enough for us to set up our picnic spread and enjoy the concert completely dry!

One. Red. Balloon.

The Great Lawn get crowded with people… one way people find their group is to use balloons to identify where they are. This one red balloon stretched high into the sky.

Shoeless on our blanket in Central Park.

Candles Illuminate our blankets as night sets in…

First Snow…

There is a something magical about the first snow fall in New York City. Over this past weekend we got it and LOTS of it. And the remnants of the storm are still in mass around the city… unfortunately it is already turning into that grayish slush which reminds you that it is New York City. Except in Central Park…
