Yesterday during my walk to work… in the sticky snow… it was cold… it was early… I hadn’t had my coffee yet…
This street signal confused me greatly…
So glad its Friday!

It has been pretty comfortable weather the last few days but last night the air had a winter chill to it… I got to my place around 9:30 – not super late – but the streets were eeriely quiet. Even though I am one of a few million people that live in this city.. its amazing for a brief moment to feel like your alone.

Today is the kind of rainy, gross day that you stay curled up in a blanket, on your couch, at your apartment all day watching movies (or for me probably catching up on bad reality TV shows). Unfortunately I had to venture outside to work… these are the kind of days that driving to work would be a dream!
So last night the bad weather crept in – this is another night shot while driving over the Brooklyn Bridge (don’t worry I was not in the driver’s seat 🙂 ) while the storm took a brief hiatus…

So maybe it hasn’t been all that cold in New York City this past week. And as I leave work and it isn’t pitch black out … I start to think of summer … and one of my favorite places – YOSEMITE.
Here are few shots from Yosemite in the summertime… that I’ve taken in the recent past. Looking at them makes me want to go back… even if right now it is a snow covered landscape!
And what would a post be with out a crazy sunset photo… this is one of my ALL TIME favorite sunsets!

Over this past weekend I had the rare chance… at this point… to drive…
I had to drive back and forth from Brooklyn to Manhattan a few times and would drive over one of the most spectacular and oldest suspension bridges in the United States – The Brooklyn Bridge.
Saturday early morning.. happend to have completely clear blue skies… But when the sky is dark and a storm has set in the Bridge takes on an eerie feel…
Being that I find the bridge architecturally intriguing.. there will definitely be some more shots in the future… stay tuned :)!

The weather has been a biting cold and I have been trying my hardest not to venture outside all that much… which doesn’t work so well when you are trying to blog about getting outside :).
Here are a few shots from Prospect Park during the last snowfall we had last week… only a dusting but still pretty…
With Christmas over there are still reminants of the holidays around…
Even though its cold outside… I try remember…
Winter is the season in which people try to keep the house as warm as it was in the summer, when they complained about the heat.

I do love seasons (I wouldn’t have moved to the east coast if I didn’t) but there is something about having to commute to work in it… that makes me not like it all that much.
So I thought I’d daydream.. and think of places I’d rather be…
Or really maybe just not at work … with a glass of vino :)!
Today I am lacking completely in motivation… I blame it on mid-week, post holiday blues…
So with that I’ll offer up some photos that show just that…

The weather is downright cold!!!… I’m not venturing outside… But I did take a few shots after the snowstorm last week from the window of a 6th floor apartment…
