In Ushuaia, Argentina “the end of the world”…

Still love sunsets! That will always be one of my most loved times of day!
And because this summer (and fall) have been full of sunsets that I didn’t post photos of (or didn’t even take photos of because… Gasp…. I didn’t feel like taking out my camera) here is one beautiful one from this past fall…
One good thing to look forward to as we approach winter is all the upcoming (although we all know it is actually here!), dramatic and breath-taking winter sunsets!
And I promise I will post them :)!

Maybe the sudden change in the weather (yesterday long jog over the Brooklyn Bridge in a tanktopĀ and today hunkered down with a sweatshirt looking through the window at gloomy skies)… but these photos certainly fit the bill for the my mood. Although they were taken during a rather beautiful day a few weeks back…
No matter how long I live out on the east coast there will be something very difficult for me knowing that summer is over and that colder months are ahead. Don’t get me wrong the colder seasons have their redeeming qualities… the amazing leaves of fall or the unworldly quiet in the city after a snowfall. But I will always love the summer… for all of its fun, socializing and of course outdoorphins ;).

This past weekend… after nearly 4 years of living in New York City… and nearly 10 years living in New York State… I FINALLY went wine tasting.
The weather didn’t cooperate completely but who cares when wine is involved!

I can safely say spring is here and I can put away my heavy winter coat… Looking forward to more long days and warm nights…

Like most people I talk to …. I am eager for warmth to return to New York City!
Of course in east coast style I’m sure I will be complaining about the heat eventually too…
An evening walk by the Brooklyn Museum… *so glad it’s not raining!*

If anyone has been following the news … they know that the NYC area was rain soaked these past few days. Thankfully I was gone most of the weekend…
From what I heard there was flooding, wind and power outages… and judging from the clouds overhead on my train ride back to NYC it was a very intense weekend…
I also took an evening trip out to New Jersey to see a friend in from out of town…
The wind was non-existant when I got there but the evidence of a wind-swept weekend was obvious…

Prior to leaving for vacation.. I came across a flickr member’s site with an incredible collection of aerial photos taken from the seat of a commercial plane… obviously I’ve taken photos from the window’s of planes before but this time I took ALOT. So there will be two rounds… this first set is from the flight from New York City to Vail…
