Christmas Lights on snow…

Its Christmas eve-eve-eve and I have seen more and more people with duffle bags and suitcases on the train heading out of town for the holidays. So far this year NYC, sadly, has had no snow. This photo was taken upstate over the past week… where a snow covered lawn and brightly decorated house can’t make you not like this time of year…

My camera is dead at an inopportune time…

.. earlier in the week I took an extended weekend and went island camping in Lake George, NY. It was a water and boat filled 4 days full of friends and fun. But my SLR camera, that I toted all the way to the island just for the occasion, died. Something with the batteries or maybe with me lacking the ability to properly transport the camera in the <off> position. At any rate what I had hoped would have been a photo filled entry is lacking in content.

Thankfully my dear friend and fellow blogger Lindsey let me borrow her point and shoot to capture the moon rising over the lake.

It’s not much but it is something… I have purchased a new set of rechargeable batteries so that I don’t put myself through this torture of not having a camera on a vacation EVER again!
