… NO its Brooklyn!
Last night I experienced the most amazing storm I have ever witnessed in my entire life! I’m not joking… and I know I am not alone… as this consensus was reached as myself and my neighbors gathered at the doorway of our brownstone stoop and watched quarter to golf ball size hail fall to the street, lighting illuminate the sky and the busy street that we all live on turn into a literal river.
I did my best to capture it all but I must admit I am no photojournalist and the awe of the scene kind of took my breath away.
But here is a few shots and some links to some videos taken from the doorway of my brownstone…
And some video…

Last week there was an intense storm that passed over NYC. When the storm passed through I was safely indoors.. indoors happened to be in a building on the 14th story of a building in Times Square. An awesome way to watch a storm roll through!

…After a summer of, what felt like, lots of heat and very little rain. It’s odd to have it rain for a few consecutive days in a row without any glimpse of sunshine.
This photo was taken in Central Park during a break in a passing storm.

Last night we had a heavy storm pass over New York City…
that didn’t stop me from going out and running errands…
… and it didn’t stop alot of people from going out either… traffic was heavy in spots as ambulances and police tried to clear accidents.

If anyone has been following the news … they know that the NYC area was rain soaked these past few days. Thankfully I was gone most of the weekend…
From what I heard there was flooding, wind and power outages… and judging from the clouds overhead on my train ride back to NYC it was a very intense weekend…
I also took an evening trip out to New Jersey to see a friend in from out of town…
The wind was non-existant when I got there but the evidence of a wind-swept weekend was obvious…
